JobPilot is an out-of-the-box desktop AI job-search assistant developed by jobpilot, currently at version 1.8.0 with five versions released to date. Falling into the career and productivity category, this local-first application focuses on resume writing, AI-assisted review, job description matching, mock interviews, and local management of job-search materials. Built on Tauri 2, React, TypeScript, and Rust, it delivers a lightweight native experience on Windows, macOS Apple Silicon, and Intel Macs, and requires no server setup—users simply download, install, and begin working. The workspace displays real data drawn from local resumes, recent interviews, WebDAV sync status, and AI analysis records rather than demo content. Its AI capabilities cover resume generation, rewriting, grammar checking, JD matching, ATS checks, cover letters, and polishing, with a dedicated entry point for applying suggestions item by item; Anthropic's native tool_use and tool_result calling chain is supported, allowing the assistant to precisely replace text fragments via replaceResumeText instead of overwriting entire resumes. The application imports JSON, Markdown, PDF, and image formats, using multimodal AI to parse both standard PDFs and scanned documents into structured resumes, and exports to PDF, smart one-page PDF, HTML, plain text, Markdown, and JSON with one-click redaction of names, phone numbers, emails, companies, schools, and private links for privacy. The editing experience includes module drag-and-drop, inline editing, auto-save, a Markdown toolbar, long-text list editing, and over fifty resume templates. For interview preparation, users can create mock interviews based on a JD and target position, receiving answer scoring, weakness analysis, follow-up question risks, and training plans. WebDAV encrypted synchronization backs up resumes, settings, and API keys to services such as 123 Cloud, Jianguoyun, and Nextcloud, with manual restore and configurable automatic sync. The release workflow supports in-app update detection, version synchronization, Windows and macOS installer builds, and Release Notes generated from changelogs.
